Artist Statement

I have been playing with clay for 40 years, and sculpting is an intuitive process for me.

I work primarily with the female figure, and create narratives that speak of both strength and vulnerability. I categorize my work as mixed-media sculpture- always finding the need to adorn my pieces with horsehair, beads, and treasures from my collection.

I hope that the viewer is curious about my work, questions my intent, and creates their own story…
